San Francisco, CA April 29, 2004 -– 4th Party, a mad scientist-run provider of effects solutions for the Adobe After Effects/ Profound Effects community, is pleased to announce a preview of an expanding lineup of substantial tools at insubstantial prices, designed exclusively for use within Useful Things® and Useful Assistants™. Currently offering popular free plugins at Profound eXchange (Profound Effects' registered user site), 4th Party will be adding to this growing body of work with a series of new plugins available through the 4th Party website.

The new plugins from 4th Party include: Color Sampler: an animated, multi-point color sampler; Effervescence: generates moving streams of particles with environmental physics, using footage samples for precise placement; Filigree: draws complex repetitions of shapes along any After Effects path, with keyframe adjustment of scale, rotation, and offset extremes, as well as other visual attributes; Sprite Generator: generates shapes and After Effects paths filled with controllable gradients, allowing sprite effects and other compositing within Useful Things; Matrix Displacer: 3-dimensional displacement of Matrices based on luminance samples from a footage layer; and Wireframe: A Useful Things-based wireframe renderer, with transformation controls handle scaling, rotation; includes many settings for rendering characteristics.

Pricing and Availability
Each of the new 4th Party Plugins will be available in Q2, 2004, and will be priced between US $15 and $25. Products will be available for download from the 4th Party Website. Plugins are compatible with both Mac OS X and Windows operating systems. (Products require Adobe After Effects® and Profound Effects Useful Things® and/or Useful Assistants™).
